Almost all the features of the Windows version are present in the macOS version as well. Chrome-like fast performance, support for Chrome extensions and themes, and clean layout are some of the highlights of the new Microsoft Edge browser.
The Edge for macOS is currently available to Mac users running macOS 10.10 Yosemite or higher. So, before downloading the Edge for macOS, make sure that you are running macOS 10.10 Yosemite or higher.
For those who don’t know, this is the second web browser from Microsoft for Mac. Internet Explorer was available on Mac machines from 1996 to 2003. The final update for Internet Explorer for Mac was released on July 11, 2003. Apple ditched Microsoft’s web browser after developing its Safari which has been the in-built web browser since then.
Installing Microsoft Edge on macOS
Step 1: On your Mac, visit this Microsoft Edge webpage in Safari or any other web browser. The package size is about 120 MB.
Step 2: Download the Edge installer by clicking the Download for macOS button.
Step 3: Run the installer package to install the Edge
